Mandy, is half way through her Social Work degree course, supported by her employer.

"I’m afraid I actually enjoy studying, and having the degree will give me a better knowledge base to draw from, and increase my options for other areas of work with young people. I came into residential care from nursing and like the challenge of the interaction with the young people as well as the team-working. The smaller residential care homes that we have today are good to work in: they’re more homely and you can spend more time building effective relationships with individual residents."
